What is a No-Needle, No-Scalpel Vasectomy?
The ‘Gold standard’ method of performing the procedure which decreases discomfort, minimizes complications and speeds healing. One small puncture to the skin is utilized to access the Vas Deferens. No more needle phobia or anxiety about a procedure “down there”. No stitches afterwards.
Can I drive afterwards?
Yes. Even if you use the Nitrous Oxide (laughing gas) during the procedure, you can still drive yourself home.
How long am I in the office?
About 30 min. You can have people in the room with you. You typically will bypass the waiting room and get straight in. We want to make this process simple for you.
Do I need a referral or a consult?
Nope. We can handle everything over the phone ahead of time. We will send you all the information you will need for before and after the procedure.
Nervous?
We offer Pro-Nox. A 50/50 blend of Oxygen and Nitrous Oxide. On-demand use and quick on/quick off. You can drive yourself home afterwards. $50 add-on
Is it Effective?
Yeah. Like 99.5%. Nothing is 100% but we cut, cauterize and tie the tubes apart to ensure it works. You will have peace of mind by doing the sample test after 3 months
Any restrictions?
You need to be at least 23 years old.
FAQ Afterwards
What is the normal downtime?
You are encouraged to rest and ice for 2 days. No lifting for about 3 days. Wear tight underwear for a week. Return to work depends on your type of job.
When do we know it was effective?
You mail in a semen sample to a lab company called Fellow after both after 3 months and 30 ejaculations. The testing kit will be given to you at the day of procedure.
No method of birth control is 100% but our method is well over 99% effective.
Will this effect my sex drive, testosterone or erection?
nope, nope, nope
How long do I wait till I can be sexually active?
We typically say a week but depends on how you feel. Not uncommon to see blood in the ejaculate the first time back.
